Abstract
The course is drawn as a training of communication skills useful for the counselling process. The goal of this course is to learn to recognize clients‘ problematic communication patterns and deal with them appropriately. Its other objective is to improve congruency skills in counseling and the self-reflection of everybody´s own communication patterns.

Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
The students will be given the opportunity to know both their own and the other people’s communication patterns through the technique of body sculptures, acting, self-preservation position training, directed self-growth themed imaginations etc. The chosen techniques will support students´ ability to tackle stressful situations, the ability to start contact and provide social support in socially safe environment.
Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
The course is divided into several group meetings. Requirements for passing the course: active participation, regular attendance, handing out an essay and participation in the final group discussion.
