Course objectives
Main objectives of the course can be summarized as follows:
to understand the specificity of contemporary French philosophy;
to analyze in detail selected key texts in the 20th century French Philosophy;
to understand basic methods of research (e.g. structural method, deconstruction)
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students will be able to;
identify significant streams of the 20th century French Philosophy;
determine and characterize key themes in French Philosophy;
understand basic methods of research (e.g. structural method)
analyze selected philosophical texts in French Philosophy

  • Introduction to 20th century French philosophy;
  • Reading of selected texts.
