- Abstract
- In the autumn semester of 2021, the course will focus on making recordings and their transcription for the Institute of the Czech National Corpus. Students will thus contribute to building a new spoken corpus. It is possible to get a financial reward from ÚČNK for quality recordings and transcripts.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to:
- understand the issues of acquiring and annotating spoken data;
- understand phonetics of the Czech language;
- provide transcriptions according to prescribed rules;
- work with ELAN app. - Key topics
- 1. Familiarizing students with the issue.
- 2. Assigning the rules for uploading and transcribing the data, getting familiar with ELAN app.
- 3. Sample transcriptions, practice transcription.
- 4. Recording and consultation space.
- 5. Editing and transcribing the recording.
- 6. Final consultations.
