Course objectives
The goal of this course is to acquaint the student with the main traditions, customs, festivals and ceremonies of the Ukrainian people. Special attention is given to the problem of the reflexive dual faith system in national folklore, the transformation of ancient heathen religious concepts, the ceremonies of the Easter Slavonic peoples and the agricultural cycle of the Ukrainians.
