Abstract
The aim of the course is to equip students with basic knowledge in the field of economic theories, to master chains of ties, to understand and be able to explain ordinary economic reality or the causes of specific macroeconomic phenomena. The lectures are focused on the interpretation of fundamental concepts, connections and analysis of economic problems and phenomena. In the exercises, individual topics are practiced on concrete cases and examples.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- describe and understand basic economic variables and phenomena
- explain macroeconomic balance and economic fluctuations in the short and long term
- define the main approaches to macroeconomic policy
- search, sort and correctly interpret macroeconomic data
- consider variants of probable economic development
- predict the consequences of economic development and economic policy measures for business practice
