Syllabus

Tectonic and thermal development of orogeny - main principles. Panafrican orogeny, Caledonian orogeny, Variscan orogeny, the origin of Appalachians and Cordilleras, Alpine orogeny with focus on Alps, West Carpathians and Himalayas.
