- Course objectives
- The main objective of the course consists in providing the students with introductory information about teaching mathematics and about the obligations of the teacher at elementary schools. Students will use the knowledge gained in theoretical mathematical subjects to analyse the mathematical content taught at elementary schools.
- Syllabus
- Students attend classes at elementary schools, and they may also help the teacher, but only with clear instructions. During the classes, the student monitors the following aspects of the teaching and makes notes about them. 1. Specific aspects of teaching mathematics at elementary schools. 2. Help with the preparation of the class. 3. Designing written tests and their corrections. 4. Designing didactic tests and their evaluation. 5. Preparing tools for teaching. 6. Taking care of the tools and the office. 7. Acquaintance with teachers´ documentation.
