Course objectives
Fundamentals of cartography and topography - exercises Acquirement of basic skills of work with a map. Creation of geographical net of simple images. Usage of basic cartometric methods. Work with topographic apparatuses and evaluation of measurement results.
Syllabus
  • 1. The contents elements of topographical anf general geographical maps
  • 2. The scale of maps, transferences, computings
  • 3. The computings of deviations engendering by substituting sphere surface by tangent plane
  • 4. The construction of equidistant cylindrical projection in the pole position for the Africa territory
  • 5. The construction of equivalent and conform cylindrical projection for Africa territory
  • 6. The construction of thematical map according gived data
  • 7. The construction of level curves by interpolation form the pont field of the elevation heigh spots
  • 8. The construction of terrain profile by topographical map
  • 9. The preparation for carthography field work – methods of the planimetrical and altitudinal measurement
