Course objectives
The aim of the course is to deepen students’ knowledge and practical skills in the field of conditioning training, focusing on endurance, coordination, and strength development. Emphasis is placed on the practical application of training methods, correct exercise technique, and the use of appropriate tools. Students will learn the principles of planning, organization, and implementation of conditioning sessions across various sports and age categories.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to: • understand and apply training methods for endurance, coordination, and strength, • demonstrate correct exercise technique using kettlebells, medicine balls, and bodyweight exercises, • plan and conduct conditioning sessions focused on specific motor abilities, • apply methodological approaches for safe and effective training, • reflect on execution quality and training effectiveness.
Syllabus
1) Endurance development methods – 3 hrs interval and continuous training; regulation of intensity and volume in athletes’ conditioning. 2) Coordination development methods – 3 hrs balance, rhythm, reaction, spatial-orientation, kinesthetic-differentiation drills, and method combinations. 3) Strength development methods:  Exercise technique – KTB (kettlebells) – 2 hrs correct technique of fundamental exercises, difficulty modification, principles of progressive overload.  Exercise technique – medicine balls – 2 hrs dynamic and explosive drills, throws, rotations, and force transfer.  Strength development methods (part 1) – 3 hrs, methods of strength endurance, hypertrophy, and maximal strength (concentric, eccentric, and isometric).  Strength development methods (part 2) – 3 hrs, methods of power and explosive strength, plyometrics, combined methods, and practical demonstrations.
Teaching methods
Practical instruction, exercise demonstration, group work, video analysis, discussion, and reflection.
Assessment methods
Minimum 90% active participation.
