Course objectives
  • systematically improve physical fitness and running skills through regular physical activity,
  • foster a positive attitude toward sports as a natural tool for stress management, disease prevention, and mental well-being,
  • promote healthy lifestyle habits among students,
  • teach the fundamentals of proper running technique and compensatory exercises.
  • Learning outcomes
    Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
  • independently perform basic running techniques and appropriate warm-up exercises,
  • understand the principles of training load and adjust running intensity to suit individual goals and capabilities,
  • effectively use compensatory and stretching exercises to prevent overuse and injury,
  • recognize running as a part of a balanced lifestyle and a means of mental hygiene.
  • Syllabus
    • Introduction to running training: principles, motivation, safety
    • Warm-up and mobility exercises before running
    • Low- and moderate-intensity running: how to find the right pace
    • Running technique: posture, foot strike, arm movement
    • Running drills (running ABCs): coordination and technique training
    • Principles of training load and recovery: structuring sessions by goal
    • Compensatory and regeneration exercises after running
