Course objectives
Introduction to Management (NNO) The course will be designed as an introductory informative block of lectures covering the fundamental concepts and rules of management and its specifics in non-profit organisations. The opening paper will be read by Professor Dr. Robert Purtschert, director of the Institute for Management of Non-profit Organisations of Freiburg University in Switzerland. In the course students will be introduced to the principles of non-profit management, specifics of non-profit organisations, motivation systems in non-governmental non-profit organisations, instruments of human resources management, quality management and the marketing system of NNO management. The knowledge gained in this course will later be expanded in subsequent specialised subjects, such as Management, Economy of Public Sector, Marketing in Public Sector, Communication and PR, Accounting and Analyses, Personnel Policy, Economy and Management of Non-profit Organisations. Exam requirements: mastering of the subject matter. Examination: oral.
