Course objectives
The parts of territory (regions) very differ in both, their structure and dynamism of development. These regional disproportions are mentioned in various statistical resources. The course gives students basic knowledge about resources and characteristics of available regional data. Their attention is drawn to legislative framework (approach to information, protection of personal data, state statistics service) as well as to regional indicators in constituent areas (population, households, production, services, enterprise, living standard, macroeconomic indicators etc.).

Assessment methods
Written examination (reaching 60% of the total score is the condition for successful finishing of subject). Further requirements: creating and presenting a report, creating and submitting a project, participating in 6 written tests.
