Course objectives
Annotation: The aim is to obtain a synoptic knowledge of the subject at the university level. The emphasis is on the logical structure of this discipline and to acquire knowledge and skills needed to teach courses focused on transport in the knowledge that pupils secondary schools are the future drivers of motor vehicles. In this context, attention is paid to individual dominant topics in the field of transport. The course focuses on the creation and analysis of proposals on how to implement prevention of risky behavior in traffic to basic prevention programs according to the nature of the specialization of secondary age category of pupils, including the use of traffic playground etc. The exercises are included methods of activation discussions, project based learning, practical handling of cases on traffic playground etc.
Objectives: Knowledge: A comprehensive overview of the knowledge about the topic of transport in relation to road safety education and an emphasis on the relationship of the subject matter to human health, experience, nature, home, technology, etc. Skills: Being able to characterize the problems of risk behavior in traffic. Conducted sufficient analysis of specific risk factors. Knowing the possibilities of prevention in the field of transport and related subject matter for practical applications. Prove to safely move to the formation of students in the traffic environment. Able to create concrete practical proposal meets the conditions of prevention of risk behavior in traffic. Attitude: To learn the value of health education, prevention of injuries and deaths on the roads. Deepen the values of ethical behavior and responsibility towards themselves and others. Deepen the values to environmental protection.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students should know and be able to:
- Based on Topic I and II. is able to explain the causes of the risk behavior in transport.
- Analyze risk situations. Specify options for addressing the risk situation. Compare the risk rate of each of the variants of the risk and stress situation.
- Identify possible preventive practices by the school in accordance with valid legislation.
- Can analyze the topic of risk behavior in transport and adequately pedagogically process.
Syllabus
  • The sylabus of exercises (after weeks or blocks): The exercises are aimed at solving problems for lectures and transport systems, traffic education 1, Transport Systems and Traffic Education 2 I. Selected risk situations in traffic 1. Security elements in transport. Strips, helmet, 2. The alcohol and other addictive substances in connection with transport. 3. The speed disturbance while driving, driving under stress. 4. The witness of an accident. 5. Examples of use of the selected educational field. II. Activities for the interdisciplinary project 1.The searching for information about the risks in traffic. 2.The analysis of specific traffic situations, eg. A risk analysis of the situation in terms of legislation, in terms of the emotions of participants etc. 3. The searching and analysis of relevant school documents. 4. The processing of documentation of the project aimed at prevention of traffic at high school. 5. The discussion about their own project.

After completing the course, the student should know and he would be able to: Based on the theme I. and II. he is able to explain the causes of risky behavior in traffic. Analyze of the risk situations. Introduce alternative solutions risky situation. Compare the level of risk of individual risk variants of the solution and stressful situations. To understand the possible preventive procedures by the school in accordance with current legislation. Is able analyzed the topic of risk behavior in traffic and adequately pedagogical process.
Participation in practice on the traffic field, in the range of 4 h; Processing of selected issues on the topic in the second. 4. a debate within a colloquium;
