- Prerequisites
- Chinese for beginners Ⅱ is designed for those who finished our previous course or who has knowledge of Chinese equivalent to HSK level 1.
- Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is only offered to the students of the study fields the course is directly associated with.
- Course objectives
- Chinese for beginners Ⅱ is designed for those who finished our previous course or who has knowledge of Chinese equivalent to HSK level 1. The course will be divided into three parts: A. Revision lessons (include HSK level 1 vocabulary and grammar) B. New lessons. The new topics will cover booking tickets, seats and rooms; complaining and getting refund in shops; seeing a doctor; expressing mood, apologize, grateful and welcome; making comparison and giving suggestion or explanation,etc. C. 50 selected chinese characters (It won’t be in the final exam).

- Teaching methods
- All texts, homework including video links will be prepared and upload to the system a week before the class. Student can download and print them for preview.
- Assessment methods
- The exam includes also two parts: A. Oral test. Every student need to prepare a short speech on any topic we have learnt , it can happen during the semester right before the new lesson starts or till the last week after the final exam. B. Final exam. We will have a final writing exam similar to what we had the first semester. It will cover all vocabulary and grammar we have learnt. The difficulty will be like a HSK 2 mock test.
Score (100 points)
Oral test: 25%*100=25
Final exam: 75%*100=55 - Language of instruction
