Cíle předmětu
The aim of the course is to develop the process thinking in students and to teach them how to perform a successful process analysis in a real situation.
Výstupy z učení
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
- define basic terms connected with BPM and BPMS;
- describe techniques for retrieving information about processes, for modelling processes and for optimizing processes;
- explain the concept of BPM (e.g. parts of the management discipline, frameworks used for implementing and managing BPM);
- understand the importance of processes and their management in the context of the whole organization management;
- orient in a variety of information tools that support BPM;
- create a model and optimization of the semi-complex business process.

Výukové metody
Lectures, class discussion, group project, reading.
Metody hodnocení
Mid-term test (multiple choice + open questions), active seminar participation, final group project.

Students have to reach at least 60% in mid-term test, actively participate on seminars and on discussions and defend final group project. The final assessment consists of 25% of mid-term test, 10% of seminar activity and 65% of defence of final project.

Any copying, keeping a record of tests or carrying the tests out, using forbidden aids including any communication devices or any other breach of objectivity of the exam is regarded as a failure to meet the obligations of the subject and as a serious breach of study regulations. As a consequence, the teacher grades the student with "F" and the dean is allowed to initiate a disciplinary action, which might lead to the termination of the studies.
