Course objectives
EU Internal Market (VTEU) The seminar links up with a number of general economic courses, international business, characteristics of world economy and economic environment. A special focus is on the economic, political, institutional and legal framework of the EU single internal market. The topics centre on targets and effects of the interior market, methods and tools that shape the single internal market. Assessment and outlooks of a single internal market in the EU, its enlargement eastwards along with preparation of the business sphere in the Czech Republic for the single internal market and establishment of European economic and monetary union are reviewed in the last block of considerations and knowledge of this field.
Syllabus
  • 1) The history of the Single Market of the European Union formation. 2) The actual economic base of the EU25 and its consequences for the Single Market. 3) The reduction of economic differences among countries and regions within the EU considering functionality of the Single Market. 4) The Single Market in the context of financing the EU policies. 5) The social dimension and environmental protection in the Single Market. 6) The benefits of the Single Market. 7) Free movement of goods. 8) Free movement of persons. 9) Free movement of services. 10) Free movement of capital. 11) The impacts of the Single Market on Czech companies - opportubities and threats 12) Czech companies on the Single Market 13) The possibilities of support for Czech companies on the Single Market

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Výuka probíhá dle výše uvedených tématických okruhů formou seminářů. Podmínkou úspěšného absolvování předmětu je dosažení více než 60 % bodů z průběžného a zkouškového písemného testu celkem (průběžný test maximálně 30 bodů, závěrečný 70 bodů, maximum 100 bodů, minimum tedy činí 61 bodů).
