Course objectives
A recommended seminar for MB008 Algebra I. The theory from lectures is worked out on additional examples. We practise several algorithms, in particular those for polynomials.
Syllabus
  • Basic properties of monoids, groups and rings. Algorithms for calculating with polynomials.

Teaching methods
With the help of an instructor, the students solve various problems, mainly practical ones. Also certain theoretical problems are considered.
Assessment methods
For a credit, one needs an active participation at seminars (maximum 3 missed), a success by the final test.
