Course objectives
The aim of this course is to develop all four language skills while putting a special emphasis on academic reading and writing, and expanding knowledge of academic and technical vocabulary.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, the student will be able to: - use academic and technical vocabulary; - read and analyse texts to make use of them in writing; - understand different genres and text types; - write successful introductions.

Group discussions; group and individual writing tasks; reading and text analysis; vocabulary study.
Assessment methods
Credit requirements: 1) attendance (at least three sessions) and active participation; 2) set of technical vocabulary; 3) text analysis; 4) introduction to a research paper.
