Course objectives
The aim of this course is to improve students' grammar to get to the level required for master degree courses of English and the ADAPTB2 test, which serves as an entry test for all courses.

A level of grammar on the B2+ level
Syllabus
  • The syllabus is derived from the grammar required in ADAPTB2 test: 1. Past tenses (past simple, past continuous, present perfect, present perfect continuous, past perfect, past perfect continuous) 2. Gerunds and infinitives after verbs 3. Participle clauses 4. Future forms (present simple, present continuous, will, be going to, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous) 5. Passives and causatives 6. Reported speech 7. Phrasal verbs 8. Conditionals 9. Present and past modals 10. Linkers 11. Relative pronouns
Teaching methods
The online form for autumn 2020 shall consist of: - handouts each week focusing on the chosen grammar - teacher-made videos explaining the chosen grammar - teacher-made videos providing keys and explanations to handouts - online discussion over the assignments and grammar in the time the real time teaching would happen (Wednesday 8:00 - 12:00) All these materials and stream shall happpen through MS TEAMS
Assessment methods
Assignments: there are 5 assignments written and submitted online in the IS system during the semester (40 points) Final test: (60 points) - 60 multiple choice sentences written and submitted online in the IS system in the exam period, time: 60min, pass/fail line: 50%
