S/he is also supposed to talk about ordinary life situations.
Learning outcomes

Cílem předmětu je složení zkoušky z odborného jazyka - angličtiny. Předpokladem k jejímu složení je prostudování anglické odborné literatury v rozsahu 150 - 200 stran. Tematika zkoušky souvisí s konkrétní studovanou specializací kandidáta. U zkoušky má doktorand prokázat, že je schopen číst plynule a s porozuměním odborný text, zaměřit se na zvláštnosti odborného stylu a terminologie, sledovat s porozuměním mluvený odborný projev, hovořit o otázkách týkajících se daného oboru. Rovněž se požadaje schopnost komunikace v běžných životních situacích.

  • Zkouška probíhá ústní formou. Kandidát hlasitě čte libovolný text z nastudované odborné literatury, porozumění se ověřuje překladem, reprodukcí obsahu v angličtině, kontrolními otázkami. Schopnost hovořit se prověřuje výkladem kandidáta na problematiku jeho vědního oboru, doktorské disertace, vlastního profesionálního uplatnění a perspektiv. Doplňujícími otázkami zkoušejícího se monolog mění v dialog.
