- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to provide for practical understanding of most relevant concepts of EU law related to the use of ICT.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course, students should be able to understand and apply the following regulatory concepts of the EU law:
- internet jurisdiction
- electronic documents
- domain names
- intellectual property on-line (incl. legal protection of software)
- cybercrime and cybersecurity - Syllabus
- Introduction to cyberlaw and ICT law
- Applicability of law on the internet - collision questions
- Responsibility of information intermediaries
- Electronic documents and electronic contracting
- Domain names and domain disputes
- Concept of on-line intellectual property and legal regime of open licences
- Legal protection of software
- Privacy and personal data on the internet
- Cybercrime
- Conclusions, assessment of assignments
