Course objectives
At the end of this course students have detail knowledge of morphology of supportive tissues and ethiopatogenesis of periodontal diseases.
Learning outcomes
Anatoma and histologiy of periodontal tissues, aethiology and pathogenesis of periodontal diseases.
Syllabus
  • 1. Periodontology- a part of dentistry 2. Morphology and physiology od supportive tissues 4. Periodontal diseases -basic classification 5. Ethiology of periodontitis 6. Pathogenesis and classification of periodontitis, diagnosis, symptoms 7. Epidemiology of periodontal diseases 8. Examination in periodontology, documentation and treatment planning. 9. Recording of the level of oral hygiene,accumulation of dental calculus,gingival status, assesment of periodontal status in detail, tooth mobility, furcations, check of mucogingival disorders including frenula. 10.Examination of oral mucous membrane. 11.Protocol of investigation of patient with periodontal disease.
