Course objectives
The student will explain the basic pathologies in gynaecology. The students will appraise the stages of womens life, and female reproductive cycle. The student identify the physiology and pathology of females genital organs. The student will discuss the prevention, diagnosis procedures and therapy. The student will construct the planned parenthood.
Syllabus
  • The program aims to give the students a broad spectrum of theoretical and practical kwnoledge in gynecology. It presents the basic subject for the future professional activities of midwives. The target of the lectures is the deep knowledge of the students of the stages of womens life, and female reproductive cycle.
  • The lectures treat the physiology ant pathology of females genital organs.In different diagnosis the prevention, diagnosis procedures and therapy are treated. Planned parenthood is one od the main topics. 30 lectures are presented: anatomy of the female genital organs, inborn errors of female genital organs, female cycle, menstrual disturbances, syndromes in gynecologic endocrinology, investigation methods in gynecology, pathology of the localisation of female genital organs, children and adolescent gynecology, ultrasound in gynecology, endometriosis, sexually transmitted diseases, planned parenthood, infertility, female sexuality and its disorders, genital organs injury, minimaly invasive diagnostic and operative methods, small gynecologic surgery, large gynecologic surgery, benign gynecologic tumors, outpatient gynecologic care, tumors of the ovary, precancerosis of female genital organs (Pap smear, colposcopy), emergencies in gynecology, urogynecology, menopause, malignant tumors of the uterus, treatment regimes in oncogynecology, investigation methods in mammology, benign breast tumors, malignant breast tumors, terminal stages in oncogynecology.

Teaching methods
Teaching Methods Teaching and learning in blocks of lectures. Theoretical sessions and teaching and learning with simulators.
Assessment methods
Theoretical Assessment Continuous Ten true/false and/or short-answer questions after each daily theoretical session. Final Twenty multiple choice and/or matching questions, to be answered in 20 minutes, on the last day of each block.
