Course objectives
The aim of subject is to inform the students about ocular diseases on the basis of their knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the eye, and to give the review of diagnostic and therapeutical methods in ophthalmology essential for general nurse.
Learning outcomes
- the overview about anatomy and physiology of the eye and visual pathway - the overview about essential axamination methods in ophtalmology - the overview about essential therapeutic approaches in ophtalmology - the overview about essential pathological units in ophtalmology - principles of first aid in ophtalmology - role of nurse in ophtalmological care - connecting of ohtalmolgoy and other medical branches
Syllabus
  • Basic examine methods, causes of sudden and gradual loss of vision, systemic diseases and their ocular manifestations, diferential diagnosis of red eye, surgical correction of refractive errors, ocular trauma and principles of treatment.
