Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows:

To practice mathematical tools necessary for successful study of physical chemistry.
To practice (by means of calculations) physical problems associated with subject matter of general and physical chemistry.
Learning outcomes
To practice (by means of calculations) physical problems associated with subject matter of general and physical chemistry.
Syllabus
  • I. Mathematical apparatus
  • Week 1: Linear function
  • Week 2: Derivative, differential.
  • Week 3: Integral calculus.
  • Week 4: The use of integral calculus in geometry and physics.
  • Week 5: Differential equations.
  • II. Physics
  • Week 6: Physical quantities and their units.
  • Week 7: Vectors.
  • Week 8: Mechanics: speed, acceleration (linear and circular movements).
  • Week 9: Force, work, energy.
  • Week 10: Waves.
  • Week 11: Termics.
