Course objectives
At the end of the course the student is able to use the tools of Orff´s musical instruments in practice. A student will be able to create the rhythmical and melodic score for the songs. A student will learn basic musical elements of kinaesthetic activities and their usage in the context of interdisciplinary links.
Syllabus
  • 1. Instrumental activities – rhythmical and melodic accompaniments; musical instruments – grouping; musical instruments of Carl Orff. 2. Ritual and other musical therapeutic instruments and their usage in Primary Education (Upper Grades). 3. Creative musical instruments (handmade); innovative tools for music activities. 4. Boomwhackers – technique of playing, their usage and notation. 5. Musical Kinaesthetic Education – dance and movement games. Elementary kinaesthetic elements – a play on the body/body sounds, imitation games, conducting (upbeat). 6. Activities based on Music theory: Power Point Presentation of musical periods with listening to music samples.

Practical preparation: singing – monophonic/polyphonic song: accompaniment on Orff´s musical instruments; conducting. Playing the piano and soprano recorder; a play on the body/body sounds. Processing and recording the rhythmical and melodic instrumental accompaniment to score. Work on the subject of teaching portfolio for Music.
Assessment methods
Type of teaching: seminar Credit requirements: a) A minimum of 80% active participation in seminars. b) Mastering the basics of playing the soprano recorder – 5 folk songs. c) 6 folk songs (4 of them in polyphonic arrangement), 2 canons, 2 spirituals/work songs, 6 artificial songs and 8 songs from music history (for 2nd and 3rd Educational level): singing, playing the piano – transposing folk songs up to major third, conducting, optional accompaniment for songs – rhythmical, instrumental or kinaesthetic element. d) Processing the score to 5 songs using elementary rhythmical and melodic musical instruments. e) Work on the subject of teaching portfolio for Music.

Course objectives
At the end of the course the student is able to use the tools of Orff´s musical instruments in practice. A student will be able to create the rhythmical and melodic score for the songs. A student will learn basic musical elements of kinaesthetic activities and their usage in the context of interdisciplinary links.
Syllabus
  • 1. Instrumental activities - rhythmical and melodic accompaniments; Musical instruments – grouping; Musical instruments of Carl Orff. 2. Ritual and other musical therapeutic instruments and their usage in Preschool Education. 3. Creative musical instruments (handmade); innovative tools for music activities. 4. Boomwhackers - technique of playing, their usage and notation. 5. Musical Kinaesthetic Education - dance and movement games. Elementary kinaesthetic elements - a play on the body – body sounds, imitation games, conducting (upbeat). 6. Study materials for Music Education used in the UK - practical demonstration. 7. Activities based on Music theory: Power Point Presentation of musical periods with listening to music samples.

Processing and recording the rhythmical and melodic instrumental accompaniment to score. Work on the subject of teaching portfolio for Music.
Assessment methods
Type of teaching: seminar Credit requirements: a) A minimum of 80% active participation in seminars. b) Mastering the basics of playing the soprano recorder - 5 folk songs. c) 6 folk songs (4 of them in polyphonic arrangement), 2 canons, 2 spirituals/work songs, 6 artificial songs and 8 songs from music history (for 2nd and 3rd Educational level): singing, playing the piano – transposing folk songs up to major third, conducting, optional accompaniment for songs - rhythmical, instrumental or kinaesthetic element. d) Processing the score to 5 songs using elementary rhythmical and melodic musical instruments. e) Written test of the basics of music theory. f) Work on the subject of teaching portfolio for Music.

Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to master the methodologies leading to the development of children's music   creativity, imagination, creative thinking. Means leading to the development of the musical motion element.

  • Activities musical movement Preparatory exercises: - rhythmic declamation - stepping - movement game - dance game - dance element - movement and dance improvisation (minuet, mazurka, contre-dances, historical dances)

Course objectives
Explores the underlying principles whith guide us as classroom practitoners. Focuses on the development and ability of young children as music learners and offers a range of practical classroom activites which may be used in the second classroom and college.

  • Činnosti hudebně pohybové Hudebně pohybová výchova je přirozeným doplňkem všech činností, podporuje orientaci ve výšce a pohybu melodie, je součástí dětských her, směřuje ke kultivaci tělesného pohybu v propojení s hudbou. Průpravná cvičení vhodná pro ovládnutí činností hudebně pohybových: -rytmická deklamace s využitím prvků hry na tělo -hudebně pohybová hra (kánon, variace, rondo) -pohybové vyjádření obsahu literární předlohy -dětská taneční hra -tanční průprava a improvizace (menuet, mazurka, contry-dances, historické tance). Požadavky k zápočtu: Vypracování tří hudebně pohybových doprovodů k písním a dvou pohybových etud k vybraným poslechovým skladbám.
