- Course objectives
- At the end of the course the student is able to use the tools of Orff´s musical instruments in practice. A student will be able to create the rhythmical and melodic score for the songs. A student will learn basic musical elements of kinaesthetic activities and their usage in the context of interdisciplinary links.
- Syllabus
- 1. Instrumental activities – rhythmical and melodic accompaniments; musical instruments – grouping; musical instruments of Carl Orff. 2. Ritual and other musical therapeutic instruments and their usage in Primary Education (Upper Grades). 3. Creative musical instruments (handmade); innovative tools for music activities. 4. Boomwhackers – technique of playing, their usage and notation. 5. Musical Kinaesthetic Education – dance and movement games. Elementary kinaesthetic elements – a play on the body/body sounds, imitation games, conducting (upbeat). 6. Activities based on Music theory: Power Point Presentation of musical periods with listening to music samples.

- Type of teaching: seminar Credit requirements: a) A minimum of 80% active participation in seminars. b) Mastering the basics of playing the soprano recorder – 5 folk songs. c) 6 folk songs (4 of them in polyphonic arrangement), 2 canons, 2 spirituals/work songs, 6 artificial songs and 8 songs from music history (for 2nd and 3rd Educational level): singing, playing the piano – transposing folk songs up to major third, conducting, optional accompaniment for songs – rhythmical, instrumental or kinaesthetic element. d) Processing the score to 5 songs using elementary rhythmical and melodic musical instruments. e) Work on the subject of teaching portfolio for Music.

- Explores the underlying principles whith guide us as classroom practitoners. Focuses on the development and ability of young children as music learners and offers a range of practical classroom activites which may be used in the second classroom and college.

- Activities musical movement Preparatory exercises: - rhythmic declamation - stepping - movement game - dance game - dance element - movement and dance improvisation (minuet, mazurka, contre-dances, historical dances) Requirements for credit: 3 movement study (the song, listening song)

- Činnosti hudebně pohybové Hudebně pohybová výchova je přirozeným doplňkem všech činností, podporuje orientaci ve výšce a pohybu melodie, je součástí dětských her, směřuje ke kultivaci tělesného pohybu v propojení s hudbou. Průpravná cvičení vhodná pro ovládnutí činností hudebně pohybových: -rytmická deklamace s využitím prvků hry na tělo -hudebně pohybová hra (kánon, variace, rondo) -pohybové vyjádření obsahu literární předlohy -dětská taneční hra -tanční průprava a improvizace (menuet, mazurka, contry-dances, historické tance). Požadavky k zápočtu: Vypracování tří hudebně pohybových doprovodů k písním a dvou pohybových etud k vybraným poslechovým skladbám.
