- Course objectives
- This course focuses passive translations (German to Czech) of different styles and text types.
- Learning outcomes
- Having passed this course the students should be able to translate any common text from German into Czech.
- Syllabus
- Theory: Differences in translating fiction and non-fiction, equivalence according to text style and genre. Translation practice: scientific texts (philology, presentation techniques), fictional texts, coloquial language, comics
