Prerequisites
The summer course is a part of lessons at the end of the second year of study, with an interconnection to courses aimed at leisure time education throughout both semesters of the first and second year. It is focused on: - planning, methodology and leading the leisure time activities and games - active involvement in the course, preparation and organization of the outdoor leisure time activities Requirements: active involvement in the course, its programme and related activities, self-actualization throughout the tasks preparation and completion. Submitting the written reflection and evaluation.

Course objectives
In the course student: - experiences the methodology training of games, activities and outdoor events - gets familiar with presentation of leisure time activities with clients of all age groups, hiking, camping and nature science skills, outdoor physical activities, self-reflection and self-knowledge activities. - learns to present the activities under the direct supervision of lecturers and colleagues - forms the methodology and outputs of their leisure time activities and experiential education. The course is focused on outdoor activities and games, practical leisure time activities with children of all age groups, hiking, camping and nature science skills, outdoor physical activities, self-reflection and self-knowledge activities. Students present their techniques during the blocks, create the methodology and reflection outputs of the leisure time activities and experiential education.
Syllabus
  • Summer course is a part of study at the end of the second year, with an interconnection to courses focused on leisure time education throughout both semesters of the first and second year. The course completes two years of theoretical and partial practical preparation in the lectures and seminars. The course is focused on outdoor activities and games, practical leisure time activities with people of all age groups, methods of experiential education, self-reflection and self-knowledge activities as well as on hiking, camping and nature science skills, and outdoor physical activities. Students present their techniques in their project teams during the topic blocks, create the methodology and reflection outputs, create a portfolio and get familiar with other students’ games, all in the context of their competences of a will-be lecturer of experiential education and leisure time activities. The course is a 6 week outdoor methodology training in usual number of 30 – 40 students (five teams of 5-6 members) Students present their game activities, create a portfolio and get familiar with other students’ games in the context of personality development. The outputs are: presenting the activities itself, reflection of the methodology, the portfolio.
