Course objectives
The aim of the course is to deepen theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of use of the Snoezelen concept in persons with disabilities/ disadvantages.
Learning outcomes
Students will learn to use the implemented intervention activities and processes in Snoezelen to strengthen the potential of persons of the target group of individuals with disabilities/ disadvantages with a focus on managing social interaction, developing mental functions and perception. At the end of this seminar, the student will be able to understand selected procedures of work in the implementation of snoezelen in the educational process and will master basic stimulation techniques in individuals with special educational needs.
Syllabus
  • 1. The history of Snoezelen. 2. Meaning, target group. 3. Selection and interpretation of basic snoegreen aids, room types and other aids (soft furniture, choice of room color, etc.). 5. Organisation of snoe greenery, documentation, importance of cooperation. 6. Goals of intervention. 7. Methodological units, principles. 12. Snoezelen as intervention. 13. Snoezelen as a leisure activity.
