Course objectives
At the end of the course students will be able to: - current approaches to the development of phonetic-phonological language level; - support for people with impaired communication skills at the age of adolescence, adulthood and old age; - speech therapy diagnostics and therapy in acquired neurogenic communication disorders.
Learning outcomes
Student is familiar with: - the comprehensive approach to the development of phonetic-phonological language level; - the field of acquired neurogenic communication disorders; - approaches to persons with impaired communication ability in adult and senior age.
Syllabus
  • - phonetic therapeutic approach - phonological therapeutic approach - phonetic-phonological approach to the development of articulation - cranial nerves - orofacial complex muscle - voice disorders, role of speech therapist in the treatment of voice disorders - diagnosis and classification of aphasia - therapeutic approaches to aphasia - intervention in the acute stage of aphasia - psychosocial level of aphasia - specifics of speech therapy intervention in adolescence and adult age
