Course objectives
The aim of the course is to learn the terminology current concept in education of persons with mental impairments, insights and possibilities of special education diagnostics system of education of pupils with mild mental disabilities, including inclusive education. The student has a good knowledge of pedagogy persons with mental disabilities and is able to apply approaches in the education of pupils with mild mental disabilities.

Syllabus
  • 1. Theory of education for children with mental disabilities, terminology bases. 2. Personality pupils with mild mental disabilities. 3. Consultancy services for pupils with mild mental disabilities. 4. Framework educational program for preschool education, preparatory classes. 5 Framework educational program for basic education, part of the FEP for pupils with SEN. 6. Diagnostics focusing on pupils with mild mental disabilities. 7. Didactic principles, methods and teaching forms, types of lessons used in the context of education pupil with mild mental disabilities. The structure of teacher preparation for a lesson. 8. Methodology of teaching the Czech language and literature (initial reading and writing) in the context of education pupil with mild mental disabilities. 9. Methodology of teaching mathematics and its application in the context of education pupil with mild mental disabilities. 10. Education FEP area in the context of education pupil with mild mental disabilities. 11. The system of secondary and lifelong learning for primary school graduates with mild mental disabilities 12. Legislation regarding educational issues of education of pupils with mild mental disabilities  .
