Course objectives
The attention is focused on the practice of theoretical knowledge about Russian morphological system. The seminar is closely linked with the subject ZS1BK_RGR1.
At the end of this course the student will be able to identify basic grammatical features of nouns and adjectives; to perform comparative linguistic analysis; to use nouns and adjectives in written and oral expression correctly.

Course objectives
In this subject students practice their theoretical knowledge of Russian grammar and they also develop the ability to compare the Russian morphological system to the Czech system. Students should make use of acquired knowledge for communication in Russian,taking into account the demands on techers in elementary schools. This seminar is closely linked to subject ZS1BK_RGR1. Students study the morphological system of Russian on practical basis, they practice theoretical rules in a series of excercises.

  • An important part is the theoretical background of the Russian grammar students schould become familiar with, essential terminology connected with Russian language learning as well as teaching. Word building, compound nouns, forming new compounds, articles and nouns, singular and plural, adjectives,comparison.

The course 'RDD3' is designed for the 1st year students as an introductory course summarising and developing the students' knowledge of the Russian grammar. It focuses on the practice of various grammatical issues at advanced level. Its inseparable part is also theoretical background , i.e. essential linguistic terminology.

Course objectives
The attention is focused on the practice of theoretical knowledge about Russian morphological system. The seminar is closely linked with the subject ZS1BK_RGR1.
At the end of this course the student will be able to identify basic grammatical features of nouns and adjectives; to perform comparative linguistic analysis; to use nouns and adjectives in written and oral expression correctly.

At the end of this course the student will be able to identify basic grammatical features of nouns and adjectives; to perform comparative linguistic analysis; to use nouns and adjectives in written and oral expression correctly.

  • 4. Revision: the first noun inflection in the singular and plural.
  • 5. The second declension of nouns.
  • 6. The second declension of nouns. Variations in the second inflection.
  • 7. The third declension nouns.
  • 8. Revision: noun second and third inflection.
  • 9. Adjectives and their characteristics. Internal lexical-semantic classification of adjectives.
  • 10. Morphological categories of adjectives: paradigmatics, name and compound shapes.
  • 11. Morphological categories of adjectives: paradigmatics, comparison category of adjectives. Accent and spelling of adjectives.

Teaching methods
Students work up homework and within an individual work they elaborate lexical and grammar excercises during the study. Students work individually and they also cooperate in group projects.
Assessment methods
Requirement: 1. Practical use of terminology and theoretical knowledge acquired through self-study in the framework of the course   RGR1. 2. Homework. 3. Encompassment of written final work (75%).
