Course objectives
Didactics of Geography 4 answers theoretical and practical questions in didactics of geographical sub-disciplines. Its aim is to apply the acquired geographical and general pedagogical knowledge and skills into specific teaching units of geography curriculum of elementary schools. They will learn the basics of creating geography curriculum of selected thematic units.
Learning outcomes
- Plan the content of geographic education according to geographic disciplines; - when planning, take into account students' age specificities; - plan work for differently talented students.

  • 1.Specific methods and forms of teaching geography. 2.Overview and classification of specific methods and forms of teaching geography. 3.Creating questions in teaching geography. 4.Geography teacher and his professional growth 5.International character of geographical education. International charter of geographical education, national and international geographic society. 6.Basics for creating the curriculum in the field of regional geography. General and regional geography and his interconnection, regional geography of the world, regional geography of the Czech Republic. 7.Basics for creating the geographical curriculum in the field landscape science 8.Principles for using the knowledge of the local landscape for teaching geography
