Course objectives
Work with German text from the phonetic point of view with focus on comparison of German and Czech pronunciation.
Syllabus
  • 1. German text from the phonetic point of view 2. Focus on own pronunciation mistakes, methodology of avoiding the typical pronunciation mistakes of Czech native speakers 3. German pronunciation practice Seminar, credit, short oral exam. The students are supposed to master German pronunciation, as well as the methodology of avoiding the typical pronunciation mistakes of Czech native speakers.

Assessment methods
Seminar, credit. Term paper focused on an own German transcribed text (min. 100 words) with comments from the phonetic point of view. Focus on methodology of avoiding the typical pronunciation mistakes. The students work with their own phonetic wordbook during the semester.
