Course objectives
At the end of the course, students will be able to improve language proficiency; recognize important authors and titles of the Anglo-American film production. They will be able to compare and contrast various aspects of films (such as their genres, their social and cultural context, their critical reception) and critically evaluate them.
Syllabus
  • This is a course supported by moodle. Students need to attend biweekly screenings at the faculty. Via web-links and by using files, students can read reviews and watch trailers to the films presented in a particular semester. Students may also participate in on-line discussion forums where they express their opinion on a film they viewed and evaluate the films from the point of learning language and culture relevance. The list of films change each semester.
  • Films of British and/or American Film Production. Genres: mostly drama, thriller. 6 - 7 films per semester.
