The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student will have a basic knowledge od the Latine syntax. He will be able to translate and discuss the contents of easier classical and medieval historical sources. He will be able to use and decline the Latine idioms, used in the field of ancient and medieval history, well.
Syllabus
  • Perfect of verb and the basic syntax of Latin clauses 1)Perfect and plusquamperfect of verbs (indicatice) 2) Perfect and plusquamperfect of verbs (subjunkctive) 3) Numerals 4) Final clauses 5) Acusative and nominative with infinitive construction 6) Consecution of tenses 7) Cum historicum; ablative absolute 8) Conditional sentences 9) Gerund and gerundive construction 10)Repetition 1-13) Collective translation of some historical sources to the Antiquity and Czech history.
