Course objectives
At the end of the course, students: is able to indetify the contrastive differences between a French and a Czech sentence; to determinate types of syntax relations in a sentence (syntactic structures in oral communication) and new trends in French grammar.
Syllabus
  • 1. Word order in a French sentence compared with Czech language. 2. Punctuation in a French sentence. 3. Sentence constituents, their relations (co-ordinative, determinative). Syntactic couples. 4. Relations between sentences expressing time and mood. 5. Contemporary trends in language. Influence of English and German.
