Course objectives
The aim of the course is to get information on practical principles of a refined language usage in a social communication. We focus the seminars on working with the language material and the real text stylistic analysis (language and style analysis of the selected singular text) and the
Syllabus
  • 1 Stylistic analysis of a text. 2 Formal aspect stylistic level, expression dichotomy literary and non-literary levels of the Czech language. 3 Compositional aspect division of the text, vertical and horizontal structuring, cohesion and coherency of texts, general components of a text. 4 Content and thematic aspects in relation with the function of the means of expression. 5 Evaluation of the text from the point of view of the language culture, or stylistic editing the text. 6 Students production of texts and their language and stylistic analyses and evaluations. 7 The most frequent mistakes and errors of our speech acts.
