- Course objectives
- Translation seminar is based on close reading and careful translations of the texts prepared in IS e-learning and on-line tools.
The students' translations are uploaded into IS and the discussions is organized in the subject discussions forums.
Main objectives can be summarized as follows:
* to understand the basic of equivalence translations;
* to learn how to deal with basic features of Czech equivalent translations;
* to understand the basic principles of translation theory in practical translations. - Syllabus

- * Contemporary American fiction (still could be discussed and any proposal would be appreciated)

The translation seminar is supported by IS e-learning system
Credit requirements: All the assignments to be handed in the file folder in IS. The topics and reasons for particular solutions should be defended in the subject forum. - Language of instruction
