Course objectives
At the end of this course, students should be able to: - use general methods as well as subject didactics methods in teaching biology of man chapters - transform didactic knowledge and experience into teaching - plan educational process in biology of man subject - approach creatively to the realisation of education - develop cross-curricular links - develop a detailed preparation for the lesson of the basic type.
Syllabus
  • A group of students will prepare lessons focused on the theme of human biology. Other students will represent class. All students will alternated in preparation of lesson. They select from the following topics: 1st Prenatal human development.
  • 2nd Postnatal human development.
  • 3rd Skeletal system.
  • 4th Muscular system
  • 5th Circulatory system
  • 6th Respiratory system
  • 7th Digestive system
  • 8th Excretory system
  • 9th Cutaneous system
  • 10th Nervous system
  • 11th Sensory system
  • 12th Reproductive system.

Teaching methods
Form of teaching: the lesson of the base type, laboratory exercises. Teaching methods: Verbal methods- explanation, description, dialogue, discussion, working with worksheets, work with text. Illustrate demonstrative methods- demonstration, static and dynamic projection. Practical methods- laboratory activities pupils. Activating methods. Activating methods. Verbal methods - explanation, description, interview, discussion, work with worksheet, work with text. Illustrate demonstration - presentation, projection static and dynamic projection.
Assessment methods
Assessment methods: final (group) project, presentation. Fulfilling requirements: - students prepare lesson on human biology at elementary school with the use of activating methods - Demonstration of realization of this lesson - Meeting attendance to exercise
