Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic features support communication skills of persons with impaired communication abilities in all age categories.
Learning outcomes
• The student has an overview of the basic approaches to persons with communication disorders;
• has an overview of the issue of contact and cooperation with clients, with parents, legal guardians, teachers and other professionals in the context of a comprehensive child support, pupils with communication disorders;
• can work with tools and materials employed in the development of communication skills.
Syllabus
  • Possibilities of communication and cooperation with the client - child, student, in-context support. Role of interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • • Possibilities of communication and cooperation with parents and legal guardians of children in support of. Possibilities of interdisciplinary cooperation.
  • • Approaches to developing communication skills of persons with impaired communication ability.
  • Materials suitable for the development of communication skills.
  • • Approaches to develop communicative competence of persons with communication disorder.
  • • Stimulating communication skills and mobilization of persons in the context of social inclusion.
  • • Utilization of mediated learning approaches within and support for persons with impaired communication ability.
  • • The use of simulation tools to develop competencies of students in the development of communication skills in persons with communication disorders.
  • • The issue of the selection of appropriate materials and tools for the development of communication skills.
