Pro úspěšné absolvování kurzu je třeba vyhotovit portfoliový úkol. The final requirement for passing this course is a task that can be chosen from the following four options:
a) state exams rehearsal (2 students/20 minutes) – with a prepared description of your teaching style (and justification for your choices) from the perspective of the methods and approaches we cover in this course;
b) an essay: 700-1,000 words (a description of your teaching style /and justification for your choices/ from the perspective of the methods and approaches we cover in this course – see the relevant section of the syllabus for instructions);
c) any multimodal format of your choice on the approaches and methods covered in the whole course: a quiz or cards (any platform: Blooket, Kahoot, Quizizz, Quiz Maker, Plickers, etc.), a video, a voiced presentation, Twine (interactive stories), an escape room/game (Wonder Town, Genially, etc.), a Padlet, a web page (e.g. Neocities) to share with others, etc. (any other suggestions welcome);
d) a lesson plan for an ELT class (a method or an approach of your choice); This portfolio task should be stored for the final state exams portfolio (either in digital format or printed out if needed).
According to Competency Framework for Teacher Graduates (OSKR / KRAAU), creation of this portfolio task develops competence in (i) didactically transforming complex subject content into appropriate teaching materials and learning opportunities that correspond to the cognitive level and educational needs of elementary school pupils (Area 1, Competence 1.2); (ii) planning, management and reflection of teaching (Area 2, Competence 2.1). - Vyučovací jazyk

When taught online (during the pandemic), students are requested to secure good internet connection in order to participate in online lessons as indicated in the schedule. Students must attend these meetings with both the sound and camera on. Students on study stays abroad will be asked to take the course with a different study group the following semester after they return (for further information, please contact the teacher responsible for running the course this semester). In the course, AI is permitted for learning but not for cheating. Using AI to brainstorm ideas, perform basic proofreading, and make suggestions for improvement is acceptable. It is unacceptable to have a text generated or translated. Remember to acknowledge all innovative ideas that are not yours. For generated ideas, use in-text citations. At the end of each assignment, state how you worked/did not work with AI. When in doubt, consult your teacher. - Studijní opora
