Cíle předmětu
This year's course will follow a comparative approach to aspects of twentieth and twenty-first poetry. The aim of the course will be to consider and compare how individual poets shape their use of langauage in a variety of contexts, social, geographical and political.
Výstupy z učení
Participants who have completed the course will have gained an understanding of the work of writers from the perspective of a variety of considerations, including formal, historical socio-cultural, regional and aesthetic factors.

Výukové metody
Teaching by close reading, group work and class discussion in the form of eleven ninety minute seminars.
Metody hodnocení
Assessment for the course will take the form of an essay of 7-10 pages(60%), plus oral participation and attendance (40%). Essays should be submitted to me by e-mail attachment.
