CJCFF01 Czech for Foreigners 1 && SOUHLAS
Students enrol in courses of Czech for foreigners via the Department of Czech for Foreigners (not via the MU Information System).
Students do not choose their timetable or study group/level. Students are placed into study group/level based on the results of the entrance/placement test, i.e. according to their current knowledge of the Czech language.
The entrance test takes place on the first day of the semester (Department of Czech for Foreigners, Arna Nováka 1, building D, 4th floor). Student of the second semester takes course CJCFF02 at a higher level of knowledge of the Czech language than in the first semester (i.e. course CJCFF01)!

Course objectives
The aim of the course is to learn the basics of the Czech language (for level Beginners 1 and Beginners 2) and to improve speaking and writing skills in the Czech language (from Pre-intermediate 1 to Very Advanced level).
Syllabus
  • The course is aimed at foreign students of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University doing their bachelor's study (in Czech or English), master’s study (in English) or doctoral studies (in English).
  • The course is also aimed at foreign internship holders, scholarhip holders and employees of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University.
  • The content of tuition is based on the level of knowledge of the Czech language, which is determined by the entrance test.

The entrance test takes place on the first day of the semester (Department of Czech for Foreigners, Arna Nováka 1, building D, 4th floor). Student of the second semester takes course CJCFF02 at a higher level of knowledge of the Czech language than in the first semester (i.e. course CJCFF01)!

Course objectives
The aim of the course is to learn the basics of the Czech language (for level Beginners 1 and Beginners 2) and to improve speaking and writing skills in the Czech language (from Pre-intermediate 1 to Very Advanced level).

  • The course is aimed at foreign students of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University doing their bachelor's study (in Czech or English), master’s study (in English) or doctoral studies (in English).
  • The course is also aimed at foreign internship holders, scholarhip holders and employees of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University.

For passing the exam you need to successfully meet the requirements of the final test. Further you need to observe the following rules: 1 / Within the semester, the student must have 75% attendance in classes. In case of a lower attendance the student won’t be admitted to the final test, i.e. the he won’t be able to complete the course. 2 / The attendance in classes includes meeting tasks established by a teacher (homework, in class presentations, etc.). Failure to comply with these tasks (unpreparedness of the student) is evaluated as an absence. 3 / Students are not allowed to change study groups as well as study levels, only in exceptional cases expressly approved in advance by the management of the Department of Czech for foreigners.

The aim of the course is to learn the basics of the Czech language (for level Z1 and Z2) and to improve your speaking and writing in Czech language (for MP1 to VP level).

For passing the exam you need to successfully meet the requirements of the final test. Further you need to observe the following rules: 1 / Within the semester, the student must have 75% attendance in classes. In case of a lower attendance the student won’t be admitted to the final test, i.e. the he won’t be able to complete the course. 2 / The attendance in classes includes meeting tasks established by a teacher (homework, in class presentations, etc.).
