Course objectives
The aim of the course is to perform profound analysis of several productions of Wagner's Ring of the Nibelung, explain the principles of Gesamtkunstwerk, and to explain the potency and limits of contemporary productions of the works by Richard Wagner.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course student will be able to:

- understand and explain the principles of Gesamtkunstwerk;
- work with information on the stagings of the Ring of the Nibelung;
- interpret the topic from the point of view od theatre theory.
