Course objectives
During the lessons the students will get acquainted with basic tendencies of collecting antiquitites in Antiquity (in the area of ancient Greece and Rome) and with the history and development of collecting ancient realia, which forms an integral part of collecting from Antiquity to the present.
An excursion, where the students get the practical experience of an exposition of ancient realia, is also a part of the course.
Learning outcomes
After the completion of the course the student will be able to discern the manifestations of the phenomenon of collecting in Antiquity. He/she will also be able to identify and describe basic tendencies of collecting ancient realia during individual historical periods.
