Course objectives
The aim of the course “Phonetics of French and Correction of Pronunciation” is to explain French pronunciation and its principles and offer hands-on practice of newly acquired knowledge in order to improve the students’ pronunciation.
Learning outcomes
Upon completing the course, the student will:
- have an overview of the principles of French pronunciation
- be aware of typical pronunciation errors in the French language
- be able to use the acquired knowledge in practice and eliminate errors in his/her own pronunciation

  • Basic pronunciation principles
  • Dictations and tongue-twisters
  • Practical exercises aimed at problematic phenomena of French pronunciation such as nasal vowels, semivowels.
