Course objectives
The lecture is devoted to the work of Italian composer Ferruccia Busoni. Apart from the life and work of the composer, the interpretation will be focused on his composer's reference and literary work. In particular, his theoretical and aesthetic texts will be discussed.
Learning outcomes
The presentation will be devoted to F. Busoni's work. Upon completion of the course the student will be better oriented in the context of European music of the first half of the 20th century. They also better understand the history of some musical styles (neoclassicism, expressionism, futurism etc.).
