Course objectives
The aim of this course is to present the problems of studying, interpreting and translating Medieval Latin literature based on a particular text. The course has a particular subject of the most famous medieval collection of secular poetry, the Carmina Burana (12th century). The content and formal variety of individual pieces of this collection offer a comprehensive idea about the prime phase of development of medieval secular poetry.
