Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with problems of speech disorders, which can be encountered in practice in both clinical and counseling environment.Each meeting will focus on some of the disorders of children and adults. The candidate will gain not only the theoretical basis, but also practical through the case studies and demonstrations of psychological assessments. In addition, emphasis is also placed on understanding the interdependence of expertise and aftercare.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- to identify the main symptoms of speech disorders and to include them in the correct nosologic unit
- understand the factors involved in speech and communication disorders
- correctly determine differential diagnosis in children's speech and communication disorders
- create a therapeutic lesson for children with speech and communication disorders
